Well time has flown by, I feel bad I am neglicting my blog! But christmas was amazing and I will have to blog about it later. I had to blog one more time for my last 2008 blog entry.

This year was perfect!

I got married! Which was the perfect wedding day.

I have traveled to the coolest places... chicago, colorado, vegas, mexico (honeymoon)!!!

UT Texas fb had a great season!

Our puppy, vince turned a year old

We have started to do a little remodeling (yay new backyard) (oh and new dining room, new living room furniture, newly designed and organized closet)

I fell in love with Bella and Edward (amazing twilight series coma)

Austin City Limits All Access badges! (on stage with NERD/MANU CHAO/BECK/FOO FIGHTERS/CONOR OBERST/SEVERAL More, it was my music heaven)

My big 25th birthday, vip style!

Got to hunt and chop down a christmas tree with my hubby

Became closer with some great friends (lauren, heather ben, kristine, krys, amber)

I have had some really fun trips with my besties (the dallas piano bar night was classic)

Got my first coach purse

Got to go to amazing concerts, vip style (common, conor oberst, matisyahu)

Had a blast with my bestie, Ana at Edgefest (Toadies, Stone Temple Pilots, Seether, Papa Roach, etc)

Got my first mac

New Years Revolutions

Organize my house (backyard, office, guest room, living room, then our bedroom, then if we have enough time and or money the bathrooms)

Find a new book inspiration (Loved twilight series and the last lecture)

Spend more time with my perfect husband and family

Study hard and finish my masters program (well it will take longer than 2009, but do the best I can is the goal... note to self do not slack)

Work on the budget! Save up more money and get bills paid off (everyones dream resolution)

Another dream resolution... Work out more, start my dance classes

Take a few trips... nac, houston, dallas and then try to one fun vacay with Matthew! Plus when the new Texas schedule comes out, we can plan a fun trip for an away game!!! Colorado was the best trip I have ever had, plus UT won!

Cheers to a new year, a new beginning, and a perfect new chapter to my life... heres to the 2009 chapter!

Wedding Crashers is on! This is one of my top favorite movies. For our rehearsal dinner we watched wedding crashers at the Alamo drafthouse. We had the perfect rehearsal dinner and it was so us! So now every time I see my fav movie on or hear one of the thousand famous quotes I get to think of my perfect rehearsal dinner and the night before the most perfect day of my life. Cheers to love!

Have you ever held a vegetable's hand? I know it is a horrible show, but I am watching Grey's. They have a girl on the show that had an accident and has brain damage, they used the term vegetable and said how she was "dead." Her poor sister was so hurt and just wanted her to be able to hear her.

See I know exactly what it feels like to have a loved one on the table and hold their hand... and have every doctor tell you that they are dead. It's so hard to come to terms with someone being brain dead and still be "alive". My senior year of high school, I found my mother not breathing and from October 21st to November 4 she lived on life support. She couldn't breathe, eat, move... nothing on her own. But with every cell in my body I just wanted her to be alive, I mean really alive. When I touched her cold cold hand, I prayed she would squeeze it back. Could she actually hear me, medically maybe not. But my heart always knows that her heart and soul could hear me. I know that my mother knew how much I loved her. Everything happens for a reason, I truly believe that. I am just missing her so much tonight!

Well my best friends have been trying to get me to read Twilight book series. I have been telling Ana that I will not read it and I absolutely don't want to.
See the books I like to read are books that have real stories and lessons to learn. Like I just read "The last lecture" two times. The book inspired me and really touched my heart. So for some reason I randomly decided I wanted to try out the books I have been hearing so much about... the verdict?!? I am in love!!! I read the first book in one week. I could have read it in one day if I had the time.
I read this blog and this girl actually called into work to read the series. I really wish I could have done that. The book is captivating, sensual and innocent all at the same time. So now that I have finished the first breathtaking book, it is definitely time for the next.

Honestly I couldn't even tell you what we were doing or where we were at. But if I were to guess we were all hangin out in Nac. I miss the good ole college days with all of us together.

Well yesterday was mom's birthday! Every year since her death I would blog a little birthday wish for her and just get a little peace here on my blog. But yesterday I could not do that... why, you may ask?!
So I get a phone call that my dad tried to kill himself. Seriously. He is still in ICU. My main issue with this, is how can a grown man be so selfish. My little brother is still missing his mom and it was her birthday... and bless his heart he has to wake up to blood and his dad who tried to kill himself. Wow, right!

Well God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle! My dad has some issues and thank goodness he is going to rehab, if only my mom could have pulled through her coma. Enough with the drama!

Tonight was the first UT basketball game! Bball is my favorite sport and yes, we won! Hook em

So I woke up after a great nights sleep in Chicago! I love the Four Seasons, my breakfast was delicious! Yummy coffee, water, and yogurt with fruit! Happy election day!

I thought we would be taking taxis, but we had car service again... which is awesome! So my bosses took me around to sight see...

I got to see one of the coolest music venues, it is beautiful place... and I have to see a concert there one day. Millennium Park is amazing! Jay Pritzker Pavilion is so beautiful...

So My bosses put on the Obama Rally tonight and they took me back stage! Can you believe it!!!! Never have I ever got to be apart of something like that. I took so many pics, but most has the family in it. So here is one with me by all the flags!

It was so cool to walk down the closed streets! I am so blessed to get the credentials, I am really thankful for my bosses for taking me around!!!

A church by our hotel, I had to go by and do a little prayer time. At this time 8 years ago today my mom had just passed away. I can not explain how much I miss her, the ache in my heart is never ending. There is not a day that goes by that I do not miss her. Today I remember my mother and I owe her everything.

Back at the four seasons after shopping for HOURS, my legs are still aching and I will bet lots of money I will be so sore tomorrow. The shopping is heaven here!!!

Well I didn't do too much shopping, but have you ever shopped so much and then later felt SICK?!? Shopping is definitely an addiction for me. I love everything I got, but afterwards I felt guilt and I just want to take some of it back. But today was a very successful shopping day!

Tonight while my bosses are at the rally I get to hang out with pea! Just ordered great room service and just waiting to hear about the election! Today is history in the making!!!

First day in the windy city!

So I said that I would be blogging from Chicago when I am on my business trip. Day one was perfect and even more than I could imagine!

So how did I end up here... I used to be a teacher and when I decided to go back to school for my masters, I knew I couldn't keep teaching and then go to school at night. So I wanted to find a different job and I fell in to this amazing job. It is really hard work some days and I am working 8/9/10 hour days. But I feel so blessed to come into a job like this!

So I came to Chicago with my bosses and every second I keep thinking how lucky I am. The plane ride was beautiful, the trees are changing colors for fall and they were amazing to get to see from the plane. I never knew how big chicago was, it is really a cool city.

Since this was a business trip someone else made all the arrangements for me, so each thing has been a surprise! Matthew always does things like that on our trips and I love it, but when he does it I find out as we go and get little bits of info.

So when we get off the plane there was an actual person standing with a sign for our car service. Never I have had that kind of treatment.

The four seasons here in chicago is beautiful! It has amazing flowers everywhere and the room and bathroom is perfect... oh the view is breathtaking!

So after my bosses got back we all went out for dinner at Ditka's Restaurant! Which was a great place to eat and I would give anything to have my hubby there. Ditkas is a place my sports loving husband should get to go. But one day we can go there together! But my dinner was delish. It was a great getting to hang out and get to know my bosses more.

The rally is tomorrow, so stay tunned! Maybe I get to see something, I will blog tomorrow about my second day adventures in the windy city.

(yes all the pictures are of me by myself, but this is my job and I will not invade my jobs privacy, so since this is my diary here is what I experienced my first day in chicago)

I am truly thanking god everyday for this opportunity!

Tomorrow is Nov 4, 8 years ago today we had taken my mom off life support and she was slowly dying. Right now 8 years ago today I was sitting at her feet holding her lifeless cold hand and just wishing she would wake up from the comma. And tomorrow, Nov 4, marks the 8 year anniversary of the death of my mom... the best mom in the world. I miss her more than anything and I would give anything to hold her hand, see her face, give her a hug. Now all I can do is remember her, love her and become a great mom myself! Even though tomorrow is a hard day just dealing with her death, but my bosses are making this trip really easy to have fun and just let go! But I will not forget you my angel, my mother!

So since I have been crazy busy here is what I have been up to, bullet style!

* ACL was amazing, we had all access passes which I need to update with pictures. Getting to be on stage with some amazing bands have been a true highlight of my life

* UT is #1, our colorado trip to the UT game was perfect and it was the best place to visit. OU vs TX weekend was awesome, winning was perfection! Mizzou weekend was so much fun, complete with shot blocks and another win!

* I did miss the UT vs OSU game to go to Edgefest with my bestie Ana. We really had a blast getting to hang out and spend time rocking out together!

* Work has been crazy. I work 8/9/10 hour days and I am constantly running around. It is a blessing, but it is one of the most challenging things.

* Matthew and I have been married for 6 months, we are shocked that it has already been 6 months. I can't wait for the next 6 months, he is a perfect husband. I truly thank god every single day for him.

* Tomorrow is halloween, which is an awesome holiday! My grandparents are coming up saturday. We have our big family pictures on Sunday! I can't wait till we get to see Tyler again, he photographed our wedding!

* On Monday I leave for chicago with my bosses! I have never been to chicago, much less a Ritz carlton! I can't wait to get to see what the trip brings. I will try to blog from a coffee shop or from my extravagant room! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

I have officially been accepted to my graduate program! I am so happy that I have been accepted!!! I get to start a masters program in Early Education along with receiving a certificate.

I can't express how happy I am to get to start school again! What great news to get after a very very long day.

Well the flight was delayed last night, so what does that mean???

We didn't make it back to austin until midnight. Of course it is now monday and I had to wake up for work. I went to sleep a little after 1:30 and then got up at 6. But it is all worth it! I had the best weekend!

Matthew planned the best vacation for us! I will post details and pictures so soon. I am so sleepy and needed my dog charlie to eat, so I had to sit downstairs after my shower so he would eat... an that means an early morning blog post! Yes I know, it probably doesn't make since but come on a going on only a few hours of sleep... and my time is all screwy.

I have the most paranoid and crazy sweet dog, that in order to eat sometimes he needs me to be sitting in the same room with him!

So cheers to an amazing weekend, long flights, little sleep and to another work week!!!!

Well this past weekend was ACL!!! It was amazing and the most perfect weekend. I can't wait to start posting pictures! I have been so busy with work, that I have really not had too much time to blog. Plus we leave early early Friday morning for colorado!!! We are going to the UT football game. I can't wait, I have never been to colorado... oh and did I mention I am not a cold person. So wish me good luck staying warm and not freezing to death.

I do have to say, my hubby booked the entire trip and made all the plans. He booked us a house in the mountains and I can't wait to see it! The weekend will be great.

First big step

So we finally found our new living room furniture!

We have a lot of rearranging and cleaning... but by the end of the week, we should have a brand new living room. I can't wait to see all the furniture in our living room. Right now everything is stuff we have collected through college. It needs to be updated and cleaned soooooo bad.

Like we have two couches now, one I got from salvation army in college and it was like $75 with a coffee table and side tables! What a deal ;) But man it has been through some good times. Even though I can't wait for our new matching furniture, this is my last week with my special, sentimental college furniture.

So this week is going to be a good, big week! My job is about to change drastically this week, I can't wait!!! Not only will my job become even better, I get to start changing my house.

Devastating Ike

So as some may not know, I was born in Houston and grew up in Dallas. I ended up going to high school in Houston and a lot of my family lives there.

My mammy drove up here the other day from Houston to get away from Hurricane Ike, but my pops had to stay. My pops is a police officer and a very brave and dedicated man. They are dedicating their lives to sleeping at the police for 3 days to help people. I can't help but sit and worry about my pops out their in the storm fighting and doing whatever he can to help.

My pops has always been a man that will do anything for anyone and works harder than anyone I have ever met. So please pray for my family in Houston and pray for all others who are being affected by the storm.

Tomorrow is the first UT football game! Before I met my husband I could have cared less. I was always one of those girls that didn't like it when people would wear other college clothes and support other college sports teams. UT sports is one of matthew's passions. So when we started dating, I wanted to find out all about him and all the things he loved. Along the way and after several games I came to the conclusion, that I was wrong.

Going to all football games is so much more fun than I thought. Tailgating with all of his friends is awesome and so much fun. The football games are really fun and I have really been looking forward to the season starting again. My favorite game it the OU UT weekend in Dallas at the Texas State Fair! I can't wait for that game!!!!

So excited about the concert tonight!!!

My Mammy and Pops came in for my mother in laws birthday! We had a great family dinner and it was awesome getting to spend time all together. All weekend I have been researching computers and trying to figure out which brand/type I want???
Today I have decided to trade in PC for a new MAC! I can't believe I made my way over to the apple world, but I love it. So ready for my new computer.
Last night we saw Jurassic Park at the Master Pancake Theatre, we love going to see any movie at the Alamo Drafthouse. Plus MPT is hilarious!!! There are three comedians that make fun of the movie and point out mistakes and just joke around the entire movie. After that we made our way down 6th street and hung out with our favorite married friends Heather and Ben!

So now it is time to get ready for the concert!

I love the word VIP! Very Important Person, everyone is a vip in their own way. But when doors start opening for you and you begin to come an actual VIP at events it is perfect.

Today was a long day, just one of those days that goes on and on. It wasn't a bad day at all, just long. So happy tomorrow is Friday! It is my mother in laws birthday. I am very blessed, I have the most amazing, perfect mother in law. My mammy and pops are coming up to bring me my charlie bear and then to go out for Ann's bday. It has been a while since I have blogged. Life is so busy with teaching, working out, and planning a wedding. I had a great Thanksgiving, I can't beieve it already came and gone.
Time is flying by, my birthday is on Thursday. I am going to be 24! I was talking with an old friend, we were talking about how when I was in college I NEVER thought I would turn 21. I was the baby out of all my friends and I just wanted to be 21. I love getting older. Every birthday is a celebration of the past and my future. Every birthday should be a victory, because I survived. Life is hard and it is only making me stronger.
So cheers to a wonderful year that has come and gone!

7 years ago today my mom died. Every day that goes by I think of her. It feels like it has been forever since I got to hold her hand, but then again it feels like it just happened yesterday. The saddness doesn't ever go away, I can get through the days with no problem... but the thought of her is always with me.
I miss her smile, her laugh, her hands, her hugs, her smile, even her picking, nagging, and selfishness.

Today wasn't a bad day, it was actually a great day!!! My besties and I spent the day together! I love them so much, I couldn't ask for a better day. In the back of my mind has been how much I miss her and how I would do anything to have her back.

Lindz came in town weekend before last! I needed that kind of weekend. We hung out and caught up. I miss getting to be with her like that. She was the best roomate, I miss getting to see her.
Saturday night we went out to dinner with matthew and my fav place! Then we went out the most hilarious bar. I love going there with her... she and I always have so much fun watching people. We call it the people zoo!!! Every room in a different type of bar... 80's room, coyote ugly, club room, country bar, and karoke!

We met these awesome guys and this really cool girl that live by me!!! We went over to their house till 4am. I had to get up the next morning at 6am to leave for the Titan vs. Texan game. I was so tired. But it was worth it, I had the best time. Those guys were really cool. Lindz and I got to play Wii for the first time. Wii is the best thing ever. I HAVE to have one.

Tuna does Vegas

I have never hear of Greater Tuna until Matthew and his parents told me all about it. They love it! So I was sure I would love it just as much. Just the home page of the Greater Tuna website cracks me up;)

So we went to the play at the Paramount downtown. First we had the Vegas themed dinner at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. Tuna does Vegas was hilarious!!! I couldn't stop laughing. The whole play is just these two guys that play several characters. They play some of the best woman characters. It kept me laughing the whole time!

One of the things I enjoyed the most is getting to spend more time with my family. Matthew's parents are so sweet and do so much for us. I don't know what we would do without them. I love my life!

Red River Rivalry

The best and worst weekend! This past weekend, Matthew and I were in Dallas for the UT vs OU game at the Cotton Bowl. This is absolutely the most looked forward to game of mine. This was my very first game last year and it is insane how differently I feel this year. Over the past year I have been to so many games and I have really become involved.
Who would have ever thought that I would love a team this much. When I met Matthew, I used to sit around with my besties and tease him. Now I know how he feels, I love this team. I have this hate inside for OU... they are the dumbest fans ever. I have never seen such rude fans before. This was the closest game in a decade, 28-21 stupid sooners won. OU still sucks, just wait till next year!

We have had 57 wins, 40 loses, and 5 ties! Ok just a quick wrap up from the weekend, I really need to get to bed! Another day of work.

Dallas, Besties & Dave

Friday night, I made it to Dallas and got to see my very best friends! Ana and I caught up while going to meet Lindz at our fav place to eat. After talking about work and letting off steam we headed off for martinis and dessert. I couldn't ask for better friends. We have a blast no matter where we are. We laugh the entire time! The martinis were yuuuuummy and hit the spot.

Saturday was a perfect day of shopping and then we were off to the Dave Matthews Concert! Out of all of the Dave concerts I have been to, this is by far one of my tops. It was a perfect Set List... he played some of the most amazing freestyles, uhhh I loved it.

We have another girls weekend coming up so soon, I can't wait!!! This weekend Matthew and I will be in Dallas at the Texas State Fair for the UT vs Oklahoma game!!!!!!!! This is my favorite game of the year, Texas needs to really step up their game for this weekend. Come on Texas!

Well it was my second time at ACL and this year Matthew and I got a 3 day pass. It was the best weekend. I will sum up the weekend with the words of the weekend... Music, Beautiful Sunsets, Toms, Crowds, Half naked people, Friends, Sweet Leaf Tea, Lots of pictures, Hello kitty, Sunburns, Long lines, about 26 hours total in the park, Texas Game, Titan Game, Sweet tarts, fun flags/balloons, plane banners, horrible allergies, longest bus line ever, H2 mutha fn O, this can go on and on!!! My Old Blog has been PUBLISHED!

How is awesome is this!!! Today was a greeeeat day. Even though when I got up and tried to go to work... my car wouldn't start. I drove Matthews car to work and my awesome future father in law took it in for me. It needed at new battery, it still had the factory battery from 6 years ago... so I consider myself lucky.
So when I got home I had my old blog... My Thoughts... My Life book at my door.
The book is soooo big and the exact way I wanted it to be. I had my old blog from September 2004 to December 2006. I stopped writing my old blog because it was my college blog, so since I graduated I wanted to go ahead and print it out.

It's awesome because I wouldn't change a thing. There are so many great memories from college. This book is something I will always have to look back upon.

Not only did I get my book that I have been working on for months, I got my HELLO KITTY swimsuit. You will soon start to realize I am ooooobsessed with Hello Kitty.

Today has been such a great day. We are about to go to dinner and I will have to post ACL recap later!

This weekend Lindz and her new hubby came to visit! Roy is leaving for Iraq so soon. I am so sad for Lindz, I couldn't imagine being without matthew for that long.

But I got to spend some good quality time with my bff. I didn't go to the UT game, I was so sad. But Lindz, Roy and I went to San Marcos Saturday and floated the river. It was a blast. We drank way too much, floated the river 4 times, road a trailer bus about 5 times, saw over 40 Asians, way too much went on. We had so much fun! Now they are gone and I miss them.

Time Flys

So after a very long day of work I get off and remember I have a water camera developed at Wallgreens. See I found this old water camera in box when we moved, it still had like 15 more pictures on it. So I used it this weekend when we went to the river (I will post about that later)!

This weekend is the 2007 Austin City Limits and I am so excited!!! But how ironic is it that the old camera I got developed today was the camera I took to ACL last year. Last year, Matthew, Lindz and I went to the ACL festival on Sunday. It was hot and rainy, but an amazing day.

This year Matthew and I are going together, we got a three day pass! I can't wait! It is suppose to be beautiful weather and no rain like last year!

Flugtag Weekend

Another weekend is ending. Tomorrow is the first day of school for my new kiddos. I am excited to start another year with my little ones. I have already met most of my students and they are precious!

This weekend was so much fun! We had a relaxing weekend finally. Every weekend since we bought
our house we have had someone here visiting or some big thing that takes up the weekend. This weekend we got to watch movies and just hangout.

Friday was just a night of swimming at his parents and having dinner there. When we came home we just watched movies and hung out.

Saturday we went with Josh to the Redbull Flugtag! Which was a blast!!! It was so interesting and fun, oh and very HOT. This was the first ever Flugtag that was held in the evening and at night. Flugtag started in 1991... there have been over 35. If you have a chance to ever go see one these... you have to. On theire website you can watch videos!
After a long day, we all hung out and watched a movie.

Today has been a day of homemade breakfast, laundry, dishes, just household chores. Now I am just getting ready for the first day of school.

I had a blog, My Thoughts... My Life, from September 2004 to January 2007. This was my college blog, I loved posting and I have missed it so much. I have just ordered my book print out of the blog. It is awesome, it's like have a diary of my college years. I went to SFA in Nacogdoches!!! Oh how I miss the college life.

I graduated college in December 2006. A few days after college I got a job as a preschool teacher. I am still teaching and living the life in Austin. I am planning my wedding for April 2008. I have never been so happy! My fiance is the greatest man alive!!!

Last night was the school's orientation. I got to meet my parents and new students! My bf and coworker have worked so hard to get our classroom ready.

Today I had a allergy test... I can't believe they have a test like this. They gave me 48 shots on my lower arms. My right arm was all my trees, grasses and weeds. The left arm was pet dander, molds, fungi. My right arm broke out up and down my arm. My left arm just had a few brake outs. I wish anyone could have seen how swollen and broke out my left arm. After not being able to move for 20 minutes, they retested me with a few injection shots in the backs of my upper arms. So what am I allergic to...

So the diagnosis... I need to have 2 allergy shots a session. The sessions start out twice a week for about 6 months! The only once a week for a few years. So yay to allergies. In case anyone is wondering why I got allergy shots... no I didn't just volunteer for this awesome irratating & painful procedure. Since graduating and moving here I have become sick every two weeks. From the flu, bronchitis, sinuitisis, strep, colds, migranes... it can go on and on. But now I know how to fix these reoccuring illnesses!
